He married Betsy Brooks. Betsy was born Massachusetts September 4, 1768. Betsy was the daughter of Josiah Brooks and Rebecca. At 24 years of age Betsy became the mother of David Clemons November 3, 1792. At 26 years of age Betsy became the mother of Betsy Clemons January 15, 1795. At 28 years of age Betsy became the mother of Mary Clemons March 23, 1797. At 31 years of age Betsy became the mother of Samuel Clemons March 1, 1800. At 33 years of age Betsy became the mother of John Clemons Madison County, New York, September 30, 1801. At 35 years of age Betsy became the mother of Willard Clemons February 29, 1804. At 37 years of age Betsy became the mother of Elvira Clemons March 6, 1806. At 39 years of age Betsy became the mother of Ambrose Clemons January 9, 1808.

Jabez served in the military War of 1812. Jabez's occupation: Shoemaker. At 26 years of age Jabez became the father of David Clemons November 3, 1792. At 28 years of age Jabez became the father of Betsy Clemons January 15, 1795. At 30 years of age Jabez became the father of Mary Clemons March 23, 1797. At 33 years of age Jabez became the father of Samuel Clemons March 1, 1800. At 35 years of age Jabez became the father of John Clemons Madison County, New York, September 30, 1801. At 37 years of age Jabez became the father of Willard Clemons February 29, 1804. At 39 years of age Jabez became the father of Elvira Clemons March 6, 1806. At 41 years of age Jabez became the father of Ambrose Clemons January 9, 1808.

Jabez Clemons and Betsy Brooks had the following children:

12 ii. Betsy Clemons was born January 15, 1795. She married Varnum.

13 iii. Mary Clemons was born March 23, 1797.

14 iv. Samuel Clemons was born March 1, 1800. Samuel died June 12, 1800 at less than one year of age.

+ 15 v. John Clemons was born September 30, 1801.

16 vi. Willard Clemons was born February 29, 1804.

18 viii. Ambrose Clemons was born January 9, 1808. Ambrose died September 14, 1847 at 39 years of age.
