22. John Fletcher⁵ Clemons (John⁴, Jabez³, Jacob², unknown¹) was born Woodstock, Waterloo Cty, Ontario December 14, 1842. John died 1931 St. Johns, Clinton County, Michigan, at 88 years of age. His body was interred 1931 Bath Michigan (near).

He married Mary Ann Smith. Mary was born Switzerland (near French bound 1844. Mary died 1918 at 74 years of age. Her body was interred Bath Michigan (near). At 20 years of age Mary became the mother of William Henry Clemons Pontiac, Michigan, August 23, 1864. At 21 years of age Mary became the mother of John W. Clemons Pontiac, Michigan, May 18, 1866. At 23 years of age Mary became the mother of James Clemons Pontiac, Michigan, September 25, 1867.

At 21 years of age John became the father of William Henry Clemons Pontiac, Michigan, August 23, 1864. At 23 years of age John became the father of John W. Clemons Pontiac, Michigan, May 18, 1866. At 24 years of age John became the father of James Clemons Pontiac, Michigan, September 25, 1867.

John Fletcher Clemons and Mary Ann Smith had the following children:

+ 23 i. William Henry⁶ Clemons was born August 23, 1864.

24 ii. John W. Clemons was born Pontiac, Michigan May 18, 1866. He resided N. E. of Lansing Chandler Rd. (Abbot exit). Earl potter lives in this house now. Marcia MacCread (Clemons) went through house in 1979. Gracia Sexton, sister of Marjorie Sexton Buckingham (wife of Dell) has a house on the same road.
