He married Amanda Martha Crandall. Amanda was born April 17, 1822. Amanda died October 12, 1874 at 52 years of age. At 24 years of age Amanda became the mother of Matilda Mary Lapham October 11, 1846.

At 23 years of age John became the father of Matilda Mary Lapham October 11, 1846.

Charles became the father of Meta Pelham Woodstock twp, Lenawee Cty MIch.. Charles became the father of Phineas Austin Pelham Woodstock twp, Lenawee Cty MIch.. Charles became the father of Bearegard Pelham Woodstock twp, Lenawee Cty MIch.. Charles became the father of Rena Pelham Woodstock twp, Lenawee Cty MIch.. Charles became the father of Frankie Pelham Woodstock twp, Lenawee Cty MIch.. Charles became the father of Brack Pelham Woodstock twp, Lenawee Cty MIch..
