2. Thomas² Swartout (Thomas¹) was born Fishkill, Duchess, New York 1756. Thomas died September 12, 1848 Cement City, Michigan, at 92 years of age.

He married Judith (Olive) Hill. Judith became the mother of Mary (Polly) Swartoutt Shokan, Ulster, New York, December 20, 1797.

He was christened Fishkill, Duchess, New York, May 15, 1757. At 41 years of age Thomas became the father of Mary (Polly) Swartoutt Shokan, Ulster, New York, December 20, 1797.

Thomas Swartout and Judith (Olive) Hill had the following children:

3 i. Thomas³ Swartout.

4 ii. Mary (Polly) Swartoutt was born Shokan, Ulster, New York December 20, 1797. Mary died August 13, 1885 Columbia, Michigan, at 87 years of age. She married Stephen P. Cary. Stephen died before 1885. Stephen was listed in a muster roll Ulster City, New York, July 2, 1813. Served in the War of 1812

Stephen became the father of Stephen Peter Cary New York, March 31, 1831. Stephen became the father of Mary Priscilla Cary Near Cement City, Michigan, July 2, 1835. (See Stephen P. Cary for the continuation of this line.)

At 33 years of age Mary became the mother of Stephen Peter Cary New York, March 31, 1831. At 37 years of age Mary became the mother of Mary Priscilla Cary Near Cement City, Michigan, July 2, 1835.
