He married twice. He married Sally Belshaw. Sally was the daughter of David Belshaw and Betsy. Sally died 1848-49. Sally became the mother of David Hamilton McCready Warren, Herkimer, NY, August 17, 1834. Sally became the mother of Delavan McCready Warren, Herkimer, NY, January 30, 1836. Sally became the mother of Mary McCready 1837. Sally became the mother of Celestia McCready Warren, Herkimer, NY, September 29, 1841. Sally became the mother of Eugene McCready Warren, Herkimer, NY, September 8, 1843. Sally became the mother of Hannah McCready Wayne Co., NY, May 3, 1845. He married Sarah Maria Geer-Gear 1849-50. Sarah was born Saratoga Springs, NY May 30, 1824.⁽¹⁷⁾ Sarah was the daughter of Thomas Geer. Sarah died April 4, 1905 Liberty, Michigan, at 80 years of age.⁽¹⁸⁾ Cause of death listed as fatty degeration of the heart.

At 28 years of age Sarah became the mother of Thomas C McCready New York, February 5, 1853. At 33 years of age Sarah became the mother of Hunford Irving (Erv) McCready Canada, December 31, 1857. At 33 years of age Sarah became the mother of Ella V. McCready Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, April 5, 1858. At 38 years of age Sarah became the mother of Ward E. McCready Canada, 1862. At 41 years of age Sarah became the mother of Adell (Idella) McCready Somerset, MI, September 12, 1865. The 1880 Census shows Adell as living with Thomas Mccready. At 54 years of age James became the father of Adell (Idella) McCready Somerset, MI, September 12, 1865. The 1880 Census shows Adell as living with Thomas Mccready. James McCready and Sally Belshaw had the following children:

47 vi. Eugene McCready was born Warren, Herkimer, NY September 8, 1843. He resided Clyde, Wayne County NY.

48 vii. Hannah McCready was born Wayne Co., NY May 3, 1845.

James McCready and Sarah Maria Geer-Gear had the following children:

50 ix. Hunford Irving (Erv) McCready was born Canada December 31, 1857. Hunford died October 23, 1924 Napoleon Twp, Michigan, at 66 years of age. His body was interred Napoleon Cemetary. Lot #355, Turn in by the storage building. Go half way down it is on the left, right near the drive. He married Inez E.

Inez was born 1874.

51 x. Ella V. McCready was born Waterloo, Ontario, Canada April 5, 1858. Ella died June 14, 1943 Clark Lake, Michigan, at 85 years of age. She married Edwin Carlton Lewis Columbia Twp., Jackson, MI, February 9, 1876. Married by L.R. Cook

Edwin was born Liberty, Michigan July 18, 1855. Edwin became the father of Carl G. Lewis Clark Lake, Michigan, February 28, 1878. Edwin became the father of Gara Franc Lewis Brooklyn, Michigan, June 2, 1884. Edwin became the father of Dell Lewis Ionia. Michigan, March 20, 1889. At 19 years of age Ella became the mother of Carl G. Lewis Clark Lake, Michigan, February 28, 1878. At 26 years of age Ella became the mother of Gara Franc Lewis Brooklyn, Michigan, June 2, 1884. At 30 years of age Ella became the mother of Dell Lewis Ionia. Michigan, March 20, 1889.

53 xii. Adell (Idella) McCready was born Somerset, MI September 12, 1865. The 1880 Census shows Adell as living with Thomas Mccready. McCrady, Adell, 14, sister, Born in Michigan Adell died April 10, 1887 Columbia Twp., Jackson, MI, at 21 years of age. Her body was interred Columbia Twp., Jackson, MI, Jefferson Cemetary. She married Hitt.
