158. Ellis⁸ Buckingham (Orrin Gilbert⁷, Gilbert⁶, Abel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Samuel³, Samuel², Thomas¹) was born Connecticut April 12, 1849. Ellis died March 2, 1934 Buried in Edmore, Montcalm County Michigan in Vi, at 84 years of age.

He married three times. He married Mary Letitia Snyder 1. Mary was the daughter of Philip Snyder and Catherine. Mary became the mother of Francis M. Buckingham Attica Twp, Lapeer County, Michigan, July 19, 1873. Mary became the mother of Fred Buckingham Abt 1876. Mary became the mother of Vynne Buckingham Michigan, abt 1878. Mary became the mother of Flaid E. Buckingham November 14, 1880. Mary became the mother of Claude Phillip Buckingham Foster Twp., Ogemaw Cty., Michigan, January 31, 1882. He married Ada Kelsey Mount Pindus Twp, Oscoda County, Michigan, May 17, 1890. Ada is the daughter of Noah Kelsey and Caroline Nichols. Ada became the mother of George Buckingham August 6, 1903. He married Mary Ann Maybe 3, 1907+.

He served in the military during war time March 15, 1865 Civil War. Served in the civil War, enlisted in Company F, of the 29th michigan Infantry, at Wtertown, Sanilac County Michigan for one year, age 17. Mustered March 16, 1865. Joined the regiment at Anderson Tennesee, march 30, 1865. Mustered out at Freesboro, TN September 6, 1865.

At 24 years of age Ellis became the father of Francis M. Buckingham Attica Twp, Lapeer County, Michigan, July 19, 1873. Ellis became the father of Fred Buckingham Abt 1876. Ellis became the father of Vynne Buckingham Michigan, abt 1878. At 31 years of age Ellis became the father of Flaid E. Buckingham November 14, 1880. At 32 years of age Ellis became the father of Claude Phillip Buckingham Foster Twp., Ogemaw Cty., Michigan, January 31, 1882. At 54 years of age Ellis became the father of George Buckingham August 6, 1903.

181 ii. George Buckingham was born August 6, 1903. George died November 23, 1989 Nacogdoches, Texas, at 86 years of age.

182 iii. Francis M. Buckingham was born Attica Twp, Lapeer County, Michigan July 19, 1873. Francis died October 27, 1897 West Branch, Ogemaw County, Michigan, at 24 years of age.

184 v. Vynne Buckingham was born Michigan abt 1878. She married Luther Jones West Branch, Ogemaw County, Michigan, June 24, 1903. Luther is the son of Isach Jones and Esten Campbell. Luther became the father of Elton Oscar Jones March 22, 1906. Luther became the father of Nina Gevera Jones February 24, 1908. (See Luther Jones for the continuation of this line.)

At 27 years of age Vynne became the mother of Elton Oscar Jones March 22, 1906. At 29 years of age Vynne became the mother of Nina Gevera Jones February 24, 1908.

185 vi. Flaid E. Buckingham was born November 14, 1880. Flaid died September 29, 1881 Foster Twp, Ogemaw Cty, Michigan, at less than one year of age.

186 vii. Claude Phillip Buckingham was born Foster Twp., Ogemaw Cty., Michigan January 31, 1882. Claude died October 15, 1958 Goodrich, Genesee County, Michigan, at 76 years of age. His body was interred Goodrich, Genesee County, Michigan, Goodrich Cemetery. He married Jessie Belle Hartwell Hadley, Lapeer Cty., Michigan, June 29, 1911. Jessie is the daughter of William Lock and Naolie Carmer.
